In summer, Lake Heiterwanger See is ideal for swimming, boating or hiking. In winter, cross-country ski trails start directly from the shore and from Fischer im Dorf, and the ski areas of the Zugspitz Arena are within easy reach.
Spring and autumn are also at their best - with clear air, colourful forests and plenty of space to take a deep breath.

The Fischer im Dorf offers flexible catering options. If you wish, you can cook for yourself in the holiday apartment's kitchen – without fixed meal times and completely at your leisure.
Alternatively, there is a bread roll service in the morning with fresh pastries delivered right to your door, as well as the Frühstücksglück breakfast package with sausage, cheese, cold cuts and yoghurt – both can be conveniently ordered the day before.
The breakfast room also has a miscellaneous fridge with food and chilled drinks, which is billed according to consumption. Those who prefer to have breakfast or dinner out can take advantage of the breakfast offer at the partner hotel Fischer am See.
Half board can also be booked there, as well as daily à la carte – at lunchtime, in the evening and in the afternoon with small dishes, ice cream, cakes and tarts. Dishes from Fischer am See can also be picked up or delivered directly to the apartment.

There are lots of activities on offer at Lake Heiterwang in summer: swimming in the clear Tyrolean mountain lake, stand-up paddleboarding (SUP), boating, hiking on the surrounding mountain trails and cycling tours. The hiking bus stops right next to the Heiterwanger Hof. You can also take a boat trip on the lake.
In winter, Heiterwang offers cross-country skiing trails starting right at the lake shore and quick access to the ski areas of the Zugspitz Arena. A ski bus stops just a few metres from the Fischer im Dorf.
The combination of cross-country skiing, downhill skiing and winter hiking makes Heiterwang an attractive winter holiday destination in Tyrol.
